

Rural oriented feature films are produced in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya and several dialects of the North Eastern Region and the Southern Region. Films Division makes use of local talent for script writing and acting to maintain the flavour of the language and region.
Some of the films produced by Private agencies are purchased by Films Division. The purchases are made by pricing committee on the advice of Government / Documentory Film purchase committee are constituted by Government with the following as members.
